Watercolor
is the most difficult medium. It allows little margin of error, and
is unforgiving if poorly rendered. It demands intense concentration
and exact planning, with precise delivery. In spite of its "temperamental"
nature, watercolor is wonderfully spontaneous, versatile, and imparts
a brilliant transparency unrivaled by any other medium.
Over
the years, I have evolved a style of painting that I call 'Dynamic Realism'.
In contrast to photographic realism, my intent is to transcend reality
by dramatizing. By using light, color and movement, I create a "painterly"
realism that is exciting. Ultimately, my constant passion is
to successfully execute an image that stirs the viewer.
