Marcelo Lopes

I was born in 1965 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have been working with art for a long time. I started working in advertising when I was sixteen. I worked in some publicity agencies as an art director until 1998 when I decided to leave the advertising in order to start to paint. I participate in some Brazilian art exhibitions and I have some pictures exhibiting in Brazilian art galeries too. I have been basically working with realistic urban themes with oil on canvas techinique. I am inspired by academic and contemporary artists, from Eduard Munch to Eduard Hopper.
