Kim-Liong
Teo
A computer
engineer for almost three decades, Teo, Kim-Liong returned to art full-time
in 1994. Since then, besides Singapore, he has residenced in China,
United Kingdom, France and Canada as a fulltime practising artist, and
has held a total of seven solo exhibitions in these countries. He has
blended the traditions of the East and the West, and emerged with a
style of his own. International critics commented that his works are
"full of luminosity and feelings".
Teo received
his Diploma from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, in 1956; B.Sc.(Honours)
from the University of Singapore in 1961; Research Scholar Certificate
from Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing, in 1995; and MFA (Master
of Fine Art) from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London,
in 1998.
