Notes
The Thames at this point is still a working river despite the gentrification
further upstream so it is still common to see ocean going vesses like
this one discharging cargo. Tate and Lyle is the biggest producer of
refined sugar in Britain and the plant is still operational. It should
be noted that Tate was one of the founders of the company but also funded
the Tate Gallery from the fortune that he made.
