The Contact Manager and other forthcoming PiCosm features will make use of your tags.
Contact Management

The Jenesis Timeline
To enable task management and other features, PiCosm is equipped with a powerful horizontal timeline known as The Jenesis Timeline. Jenesis allows the following:
- Creating and managing tasks, including those assigned to others in your team
- Creating, managing and playing back HEYYU Digital Signage / Video Menu content
- Viewing the weather
- Showing the location of an event on the map above the timeline. For example, a meeting task linked to a destination, such as a hotel.

PiCosm ‘Jenesis’ Timeline showing some layers related to the HEYYU Digital Signage features
Jenesis operates in a similar manner to a desktop video editor such as Davinci Resolve, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Vegas etc. Entries are represented by clips on the timeline that feature drag handles for setting the Start and (optional) End time for each entry.
Icons are shown within each clip to indicate its function:
Task
Text/List
AutoTime Text/List
Image, such as a photo or artwork
Video
3D object or animation

Revealing clip properties
To keep the timeline tidy and less cluttered, thumbnails and attributes associated with each clip are hidden unless you do any of the following:
- Position the mouse pointer over a clip
- Click the clip once with mouse pointer
- Touch the clip on a touch screen device
- Double or right click the clip to display the full clip properties panel

The Task Manager
A task is a type of event on the timeline associated with getting things done, from business or hobby club organisational tasks, to family shopping lists.
By default, a task is assigned by you to you, the PiCosm user/account holder. However, a project manager, whether in a business or the ‘leader’ of a household can assign a task to another PiCosm user. For example, request a marketing director prepare a press release, or a family member go do the shopping. In the case of the latter, a sub list can be created within a task, such as a shopping list that will pop up on your timeline. No faffing about with various external task managers or to do apps any more! PiCosm does it all.
Creating a task
Tasks can be created using the following two methods:
- Double clicking or right clicking in the Timeline about where you would like the task to be actioned. If you double click or right click on or near the PlayHead, the task start date and time will be based on the date and time at that moment.
- Clicking the [+] control in the MustDash header.

Two task clips on the timeline. The left clip is highlighted and shows its properties because the pointer is over it.
The drag handles at either end of the clip can be used to adjust the start and end times. Drag the whole entry widget to move it along the timeline to a different period.
Creating a task from a spreadsheet row
ADVANCED
This allows you to paste spreadsheet table cell rows into the timeline to auto create tasks from the data. Ideal if you have some tasks organised in a spreadsheet or prefer to create tasks in a sheet first.
- Create spreadsheet row as Fig X
- Copy contents of row to clipboard (Ctrl +C)
- Switch to the Jenesis Timeline

HELP!
PiCard location map accuracy
If a map that appears next to one or more of your physical addresses is not showing your true location, you can manually adjust this as follows:
- Login to your account
- Select VIEW > Account > Profile
- Below the Location fields, ensure the Update map on save checkbox is on.
- Click the small [Save] control. If not already visible, a mini map will appear.
- Drag the cross hairs and map until the cross hairs are positioned over your location. If necessary, zoom in [+] or out [-] and/or switch to Satellite view.
- Click [Save]
Contact name does not appear next to a Pi
If your contact(s) have yet to give you permission to view their name (First, Middle and/or Last), then it will not appear before their Pi on the Contact Manager or Profile Permissions. For example, Pi 12 34 5. Once Permissions are set, you will see, (for example) Joe Smith (Pi 12 34 5).
